REALISIM OVERHAUL!!!!

Image
Hey everyone, the RocketKid here, and today I want to announce a new, uh, announcement. I will be playing KSP: Realism overhaul Realistic progression-1. Or RO and RP-1 for short. I was inspired by N9 gaming's video series, "For All KerbalKind". You can check out the playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKsgkXe7Cn8usHFu3DNKkIelaOolmt6nq (Note: The Beardy Penguin is also in this series) I was constantly thinking when I landed on Eeloo, that it was over. I had conquered the Kerbol system and there was nowhere to go. But now, all that has changed. KSP RO and RP-1 will be the topic of the next few posts. I'll create a separate page on this topic. With my company: Photon-A, as the main flag of this series. I hope you all have a great day and this is the RocketKid signing off.

Speech by KASA Administrator

Image
Self-explanatory: "Good afternoon everyone, today, Starfinder has passed the boundaries of Kerbal Kind and has officially entered interstellar space. "Of course, with this, comes some drawbacks, we lost contact with Starfinder even before they had exited from the view of the tracking station. But, my teams at Comm Net are working to find a solution." "But sir! We obviously can't afford to keep this project in hand!" -Random Kerbal "I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. WILL WE LEAVE THOSE 70 KERBALS? FLOATING IN SPACE BECAUSE OF MONEY???? I AM ASHAMED OF ALL OF YOU. I'LL FIND THE MONEY, YOU DO THE WORK. We will not let commander Joebald down! We will continue this project for YEARS to come, we will find money and life for science and politics. Meeting adjourned." -Jim Kerman

Project: Proxima

Image
Hey everyone, the Rocketkid here, and today, I have sad and good news. Remember the Jool 2 mega orbiter? Well, it's a pea compared to this mission. INTERSTELLAR good news: Kebrals have gone interstellar in STOCK KSP. Not kidding, this took a bite out of 10 hours of my day. Starting yesterday night. Sad/Bad news: No communication will be available after exiting Kerbol's sphere of influence, and we lost Jebediah in the process of testing this rocket. R.I.P Jebediah. Last words: " I can land this! Wait! I might be able to-" -Jebediah, our first and bravest Kerbal, you will be missed and respected... Here's a dramatic speech from the administrator of KASA "As we grieve over the loss of Jebediah, None the less, the project 'Proxima' will continue, Starfinder will be able to go where no Kebral has gone before, more than 70 brave Kebrals have been volunteered for this mission, and, a secret, they may never come back. We will lose contact with them afte

MINIMUS BASE ALPHA!!!

Image
Hey everyone! The RocketKid here and today I want to show you my new Minimus base. I started out with a new Hab design: This base is quite different from the old Hab, it has 4 Solar arrays instead of 2 like my other one, check that post out! It also allows for EVAs while my old one didn't because of where the hatches were placed. It also has a giant comm antenna dish on the side for communication. Also, it has an Mk1 crew cabin, at my brother's request. "Hey! I'm Camera shy!" Bill Kerman, the science guy I chose a fairly steep landing site, but better the Mun base site! I also sent a rover to minimus, Here's the design. I chose the cupola for the front because it has a great view of the surface, with hitchhiker storage containers with, frankly, nothing in them! Oh, I also added fireworks. "Too many photos! It's overloading the computer!" -Gene Kerman Here's the rover on Minimus. That's all I have on the base though, I'll be back with

Jool 2 Mega orbiter

Image
Hey everyone, The RocketKid here and this is probably the biggest thing I sent to space... Except for a giant worm that exploded in like, 2 seconds. " the shake's getting violent" -Gene Kerman *Gulp!* (Sorry for the night launch, the best Jool transfer window was at night...) " I think this planet is sick!" -Doctor Kerman P.H.D in Planet Doctoring "Ugh, I hate seeing green all day! Hey! No green paint in the Module!!!!!" -Dendan Kerman Thanks to Mike Aben for the tutorial and craft inspiration. This is the RocketKid, Signing off!

Jool 1

Image
Hey Everyone! The RocketKid here, and today, I'd like to show you my newest mission in KSP, going to Jool for the first time! The Probe I sent was named Jool 1, a very stupid name. I know. Comment a potential name below! This is the design: "I love it!" -Gene Kerman Here are some more epic photos: Welp! That'll be all! I'll be back soon!

ROCKET NEWS!!! WEEK OF 3/28/22-4/1/22

Image
Week of Monday 3/28/22-3/4/1/22: Hey everyone! This week was filled with amazing things that happened in the world of rockets. Let's get started! This week: First, the CASC launched the Long March 6A, on March 29th carrying the Pujiang-2 and Tiankum 2, this was the booster's first flight and China made a cool cinematic video about it: (Is it just me, or does this graphic feel like the info we stole from the Chinese) Then, again the CASC launched the Long March 11 on March 30th, carryingTianping-2 A/B/C. (This is the weirdest rocket ever) On to news that isn't depressing, like China, Anton, Pyotr, and Mark return from the international space station: (Sorry for the bad image quality...) Extranormal stuff: Blue Origin New Shepard NS-20: Check out my post on it! https://theamazingworldofrockets.blogspot.com/2022/03/new-spheard-ns-20.html Falcon-9 Transporter 4 launch: a Rideshare mission (Look at all so sats on there!) NEWS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: FAA DELAYS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMEN

STARSHIP: The FUTURE of Rocketry

Image
Hey everyone! The RocketKid here and today, we'll do a rundown of the upcoming monster rocket being developed by SpaceX, STARSHIP. Let's get started.      So, the Starship started out in 2011 when Musk presented the idea of the Mars Colonial transporter, it was never finished and didn't even have a render of it except a fan render: (This seems like it was made in KSP, doesn't it?)      Then, the ITS was introduced in 2016. This was a monster of a rocket, towering over even the tallest of building in most places in the world, towering over the Saturn V, towering over SLS, towering over, ok fine I'll stop. Anyways, It was a beast with more than 40 raptor engines on it, the design looked like this:      With a payload capacity of 300 METRIC TONNES into orbit and a 12-meter diameter, plus a 122-meter height? You get some real power. Also a thrust of 128 mega-newtons. Also, the plans for reuse were different too, the booster was going to land exactly on the launchpa

FARMER STEALS RUSSIAN SOYUZ!!!!

Image
I can't believe it... This farmer stole a Soyuz rocket: I'll start writing about the situation... So, the war in Ukraine had some influence on this poor Ukrainian farmer to steal a Russian Soyuz set to launch next week. Seriously, he was very brave and the Russian had no idea of his real intentions when he said he was on their side and wanted to take a look at the Soyuz. This, of course, angered the Russians and they are on a goose chase to the farmer. The farmer, apparently is on a tractor, compared to the Russian tanks, which are very slow, so don't expect a high-speed chase like in the movies... I'm thinkin' James bond right now. APRIL FOOLS!!!!!!!!!!

Rocket Lab logo change

Image
These days the world is simplifying logos. Just look it up! Now, even Rocket Lab's logo has changed on their youtube channel. Here's the comparison. OLD: NEW:   In my opinion, however, I think the new logo looks better. Post what you think in the comments below! I'll be doing a run down of Rocket Lab later. -TheRocketKid

South Korea: First solid rocket booster test!

Image
KOREA: launches first solid rocket booster Wow, amid the rising tensions, South Korea has successfully launched its first solid rocket booster-powered rocket. According to South Korea, they have been developing these technologies to counteract North Korea's aggressiveness. South Korea has none of its own military reconnaissance satellites and relies on US sats to monitor strategic points in North Korea. Who knows what'll happen next? This is the RocketKid, signing off!

NEW SPHEARD NS-20!

Image
Hey, what's up my friends, the Rocket Kid is here with the launch of the NS-20 for blue origin! I watched the whole thing, live! The launch was beautiful! It began with liftoff: I watched the booster land: It was amazing! The only other time I've watched a new shepard land was the NS-19 mission. And of course touchdown. You can check out the live stream here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rujDVDit02Y ANyways, this is the rocket kid, signing off!
